For my project we took inspiration from this picture to make a table using recycled wine bottles as the stands. Reece had some old rather large bottles that we could use as our stands and we could use the IDEA lab machines to route out the table as well as laser engrave it. It was time to grind.
table
For the first part of our assignment we had to come up with a design for a table that was not a square or a circle. Mandy came up with a rounded triangular table which took advantage of us only having access to three bottles. After we designed it we programed the tool path and route on Fusion360 then moved the G-code (Its the code that tells the CNC router the directions to cut out the design). Once we put it on the USB we plugged it into the cnc router and it started chugging away

Lasering the table
Once we finished cutting out the table we wanted to laser cut a design onto the top of the table to make it pretty and make it look wonderful in the home of choice. I picked out a large tree design to cut into it. Which looked really awesome.

For this part we wanted to laser cut a design into the wine bottles to add a little more pizazz to the table.

takeaway
We learned more about time management as well as partnership in a group. Also l learned how to use the CNC router which was a really hard to figure out but now I know.
